Situated in a quiet crofting township located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands – The Posh Bothy provides a perfect base for exploring this beautiful area. Our elevated site gives panoramic towards the Grey Corries and Nevis mountain ranges.

Come and stay in our luxury posh bothies, complete with en-suite shower room and fully equipped kitchen…in fact everything you need for a self-catering break is this beautiful area. There is so much to see and do in the area but equally the Posh Bothy provides a great location to get away from the hustle and bustle and have a cosy highland break.

Located in Inverroy just 2 miles from Spean Bridge. ‘the crossroads of the Highlands’, the village offers an ideal touring base as it stands at the junction of roads north to Inverness and the Isle of Skye, south to Fort William and east through Glen Spean towards Loch Laggan and Strathspey. There is a wide selection of outdoor activities, including hillwalking, climbing, watersports and wildlife watching. The Great Glen Way and West Highland Way are two long distance walks which pass through the area.

How I came up with the name…

Growing up in the area I spent a lot of time up in the hills where you’ll find the occasional Bothy. A bothy is a traditional sheltering place, a basic building with no running water or bathroom. The only basic comfort is an open fire to keep the place warm in all weathers.

So what you have with the posh bothy is the traditional setting but with all the amenities so you can have the best of both worlds.

Your Highland Hideaway

When we were creating our accommodation we wanted to offer an authentic, yet comfortable, Scottish experience.

This is how we came up with the idea of Posh Bothies. Luxury glamping or camping pods in the Highlands of Scotland for people wanting to get to know a wild Scotland but with all of the home comforts.

Both of our bothies sleep 4 guests (double bed and sofa bed) have en-suite showers and fully fitted kitchens. They also have outside sitting areas to soak up the amazing views.
